The AUDES ST-900DC supplies electrical power to high-end and Hi-Fi AV equipment through five outlets with a total power handling of 900 W.
Its main element is a balancing toroidal transformer, 230 VAC / 115 + 115 VAC, designed and developed by Audes, which isolates your equipment from the domestic network. Despite the significant power rating, the construction of the conditioner completely excludes harmful electromagnetic radiation.
The ST-900DC improves sound reproduction with any AV equipment, solid-state and tube alike, with the most significant results on power amplifiers. In highly dynamic passages an amplifier must draw current surges of 50–100 A while holding its voltage steady, which an ordinary wall socket on long cable runs cannot deliver. With its very small output DC resistance, the ST-900DC can, and your system gains faster transients and a wider dynamic range.
A special winding technique and a high-quality core give the ST-900DC's transformer its filtering effect, while a very large core and a high number of turns in the primary winding minimise inductance, so current reaches your amplifiers without delay.

A very large core and a high number of turns in the primary winding minimise inductance and give the ST-900DC a very small output DC resistance, so it supplies amplifier current surges of 50–100 A without voltage dips, something an ordinary wall socket on long cable runs cannot do.
A special winding technique and a high-quality core make the transformer a low-pass filter with a cut-off at 800 Hz, since mains interference occurs at much higher frequencies. The self-inductance of the very large core adds further filtering: its magnetic flux cannot change instantly under a transient disturbance.
High-quality CEE 7/3 sockets are galvanically isolated from the external network, and the transformer carries a reliable electrostatic shield. Its secondary winding is split into two halves around an artificial centre tap connected to the earth clips of each socket, so arriving interference cancels itself out.
The ST-900DC comes with an integrated DC blocker, and the transformer itself prevents any DC offset present in the mains from reaching connected equipment. A version, the ST-900, is available without the built-in DC blocker.
Despite the significant power rating of its transformer, the construction of the ST-900DC completely excludes harmful electromagnetic radiation.
Overload protection guards the unit, and thermal protection switches the transformer off at 90 °C, reconnecting it automatically once it has cooled to 75 °C.
