Every Audes conditioner is designed around toroidal transformers wound in our own facility. Rather than masking noise with series filters, the transformer itself does the work — isolating, balancing and cleaning the mains before it reaches your components.
The secondary winding is split into two halves around an artificial centre tap tied to each outlet's earth contact. Interference arriving on the mains is cancelled by symmetry, and every outlet is galvanically isolated from the grid.
Controlled leakage inductance and capacitance turn the transformer into a low-pass filter. Mains interference lives far above that cut-off, while the very large core's self-inductance resists sudden transient disturbances.
Power amplifiers draw large current surges in dynamic passages. Very low output impedance — 0.4 Ω DC resistance on the ST-3000DC — supplies those peaks without voltage dips, for faster transients and fuller bass.
DC offset on the mains makes transformers hum. Each current model integrates a DC blocker to protect the unit and keep the transformer acoustically quiet — quiet enough for recording studios.
DT and TT models add a second, independent transformer for switched-mode supplies — streamers, TVs, processors — so their noise never shares a source with sensitive analogue electronics.
A ballast resistor tames inrush current so nothing else on the circuit is disturbed. Thermal protection disconnects at 90 °C and reconnects automatically at 75 °C, alongside overload protection.
